MUMBAI – Sunteck Realty Ltd. Tuesday reported robust on-year growth in consolidated net profit despite a modest rise in revenues. The company's bottom line was aided by a decline in its total expenses.

 

The Mumbai-based real estate developer posted a consolidated net profit of INR 422.75 million for the June quarter, up 26% on year but down 34% sequentially. Sunteck Realty's consolidated revenue from operations rose nearly 2% on year to INR 1.92 billion for the June quarter but declined 43% on quarter. The company's total expenses declined nearly 6% on year to INR 1.5 billion.


The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation rose 40% on year to INR 670 million in the reporting quarter. The EBITDA margin expanded to 35% from 25% in the year-ago quarter and the net profit margin expanded to 22% from 18%.

 

Sunteck Realty's pre-sales grew 20% on year to INR 7.87 billion. The company's collections were up 17% on year to INR 4.09 billion.

 

The board has approved raising up to INR 22.5 billion. Of this, up to INR 15 billion will be raised through non-convertible debentures and up to INR 7.5 billion through equity. 

 

Tuesday, shares of Sunteck Realty closed at INR 315 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.6% from Monday, ahead of the June quarter results.  End
