MUMBAI – Information Technology services company Mastek Ltd. Tuesday reported a marginal sequential fall in its net profit for the June quarter due to a fall in other income and an increase in employee benefits expenses. The lower net profit still met analysts' estimates.
Mastek reported a consolidated net profit of INR 1.06 billion for the June quarter, a marginal decline on quarter but up 15% on year. The company's consolidated revenue from operations rose 5% sequentially to INR 9.85 billion, which was also up nearly 8% on year. The company's other income for the June quarter fell 50% sequentially to INR 120 million.
The company's finance cost fell more than 8% sequentially to INR 65.9 million, which was down nearly 25% on year. The other expenses of the company rose 6% on quarter to INR 3.01 billion.
The company's combined sales from the UK and Europe rose 6.5% to INR 6.63 billion while sales from North America rose 6% sequentially to INR 2.14 billion. Sales from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa declined 5% to INR 1.08 billion.
The company's shares ended almost unchanged at INR 1,746.60 on the National Stock Exchange Tuesday. The company announced its June quarter earnings after market hours. End
