Mylan exits Biocon, sells entire stake via block deals for INR 36.79 bln

MUMBAI – Mylan Inc. exited Biocon Ltd. by selling its 5.6% stake in several block deals on the National Stock Exchange and BSE, according to information on the exchanges' website. Mylan Inc. sold nearly 92 million shares, its entire holding as per the Jun. 29 shareholding pattern, for INR 36.79 billion.
Several mutual funds and companies bought the stake at INR 400 per share. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund bought the largest chunk offered by Mylan, aquiring 2.3% stake for INR 14.75 billion. HDFC Mutual Fund and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund bought stakes of 0.7?ch, paying INR 4.6 billion. SBI Mutual Fund, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, Societe Generale, and Authum Investment & Infrastructure Ltd. were also among the buyers. Tuesday, shares of Biocon rose 6.4% to INR 437.30 on the NSE. End
