India WPI inflation rises 9.87% Jun, highest in at least 27 mos

NEW DELHI – The Ministry of Commerce and Industry Tuesday released inflation data based on the new Wholesale Price Index for June, which has 2022-23 (Apr-Mar) as the base year, updated from FY12 in the old series.
LATEST: The all commodities WPI index was 110.2 in June, up 0.3% from 109.9 in May. WPI inflation was 9.87% in June, up from 9.68% in May and (-)0.4% in June 2025.
NEXT UPDATE: The commerce ministry will detail the WPI data for July on Aug. 14.
