--JSW Energy arm gets order for battery energy storage system 

 

NEW DELHI – JSW Energy Ltd. Friday said that its step-down wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Energy PSP Eleven Ltd. has secured orders worth INR 4.44 billion from Bondada Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. to supply battery energy storage systems and power conversion systems. The order is for a 200 megawatts – 400 megawatts battery energy storage system and has been awarded by Bondada Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering Ltd.

 

JSW Energy PSP Eleven operates a 5 gigawatt-hour per annum battery assembly plant in Pune. JSW Energy aims to expand its generation capacity to 30 gigawatt and energy storage capacity to 40 gigawatt-hour by 2030, while targeting carbon neutrality by 2050, according to the exchange filing by the company. 

On Friday, shares of JSW Energy closed at INR 553.30 on the National Stock Exchange, up 3.7%. For the March quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 3.72 billion on revenue of INR 44.99 billion.  End
