UCO Bank hikes MCLR by 5 bps for most tenures, effective Friday

--UCO Bank hikes MCLR by 5 bps for some tenure loans
MUMBAI – UCO Bank has raised its marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by 5 basis points for the one-month, three-month, six-month, and one-year tenures. The new rates take effect Friday, the bank said in an exchange filing Thursday. The MCLR for overnight tenure remains unchanged, the bank said in the filing. The bank's revised MCLR now ranges from 7.90% to 8.80%.
The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review their MCLR every month. The bank also reduced the three-month and six-month Treasury bill-linked rate by 10 bps, while the one-year Treasury bill-linked rate was increased by 5 bps to 5.80% from 5.75%, as per the filing. The bank's revised Treasury bill-linked rates now range from 5.30% to 5.80%.
The bank's one-year government security rate was cut by 3 bps to 5.57% from 6.00%. The 10-year government security rate was slashed by 26 bps to 6.85% from 7.11%, the bank said in the filing. For the March quarter, the bank had reported a net profit of INR 8.01 billion and total income of INR 73.65 billion. Thursday, its shares ended at INR 26.05 on the National Stock Exchange, down nearly 1% from Wednesday.
