Power Grid declared successful bidder for inter-state transmission system

NEW DELHI – Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd. Thursday said it has been declared as the successful bidder to establish an inter-state transmission system in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The project, on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis, comprises augmentation and bay extension works at the Bhadla-III substation and the Ramgarh substation in Rajasthan, and the Kanpur substation in Uttar Pradesh. The company received the letter of intent on Thursday, Power Grid said in an exchange filing.
For the March quarter, the company reported a net profit of INR 45.53 billion on revenues of INR 99.71 billion. Thursday, the company's shares closed 0.6% higher at INR 281.35 on the National Stock Exchange. End
