CONCOR, GAIL (India) sign pact to set up LNG dispensing station in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD--Container Corp. of India Ltd. and GAIL (India) Ltd. have entered into an agreement to set up a liquefied natural gas dispensing station at CONCOR's inland container depot at Khodiyar in Ahmedabad, the company said in its filing with the stock exchanges Thursday.
As per the filing, in the 15-year agreement, GAIL (India) will hold exclusive operational control and invest in setting up the retail LNG outlet infrastructure. GAIL (India) would also deploy 15 LNG-powered commercial vehicles in the first year of contract, and operate the facility round-the-clock.
For the March quarter, CONCOR reported a net profit of INR 2.58 billion on revenue of INR 22.57 billion and GAIL (India) reported a net profit of INR 12.62 billion on revenue of INR 347.97 billion. On Thursday, shares of CONCOR closed 1.3% higher at INR 457.10 apiece while those of GAIL (India) closed 0.6% higher at INR 170.20 per share on the National Stock Exchange. End
