--South Korean co NH Investment to invest INR 8.99 bln in Choice Intl arm
MUMBAI – Choice International Ltd. Thursday said its material subsidiary, Choice Equity Broking Pvt. Ltd., and South Korea-based NH Investment & Securities Co. Ltd. have entered into definitive agreements under which the South Korean securities firm will subscribe to over 4.2 million compulsorily convertible preference shares of Choice Equity for a total consideration of INR 8.99 billion. Choice International said in an exchange filing that the preference shares will be converted into equity shares subject to applicable terms and conditions. However, this will not lead to any change in control of Choice Equity, according to the filing.
At 1358 IST, shares of Choice International were at INR 822.50 per share on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 7% from Wednesday. For the March quarter, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 603.07 million on revenues of INR 3.07 billion. End
