NEW DELHI – Premier Energies Ltd. Thursday said it has commissioned a 5.6-gigawatt solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Telangana, taking its total solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 gigawatt. The company also performed a ceremony for a 6 gigawatt-hour battery energy storage system facility and an aluminium frames manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 18,000 tonnes at the same campus, according to an exchange filing by the company.
The Seetharampur manufacturing campus is spread across 75 acres. "The new facility houses advanced G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines, India's first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, AGV (automated guided vehicles)- enabled material movement and AI (artificial intelligence) powered quality inspection systems. The automated production lines are capable of manufacturing one solar module every four seconds while maintaining precision, consistency and quality at scale," according to the exchange filing by the company.
Premier Energies said the upcoming battery energy storage system and aluminium frames facilities will strengthen its supply chain and expand its presence across allied clean energy manufacturing segments. Once fully operational, the Seetharampur campus is expected to generate over 3,000 jobs.
For the March quarter, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.57 billion on revenue of INR 22.30 billion. At 1303 IST, its shares were at INR 1,085.90 on the National Stock Exchange, up over 4%. End
