MUMBAI – Graphite India Ltd. Wednesday said it will shutter operations and associated services of its specialities and coating divisions in Germany. The lasting impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine, coupled with weak demand, has affected the competitiveness of these divisions, leading to the decision to halt operations, the company said in an exchange filing.

 

For 2025–26 (Apr-Mar), the divisions had accounted for nearly 4% of Graphite India's total revenues, contributing INR 1.05 billion to the company's top line of INR 28.12 billion for the year. The divisions will be shut down in about six months depending on discussions with the local works council, the company said.

 

For the quarter ended March, Graphite India had reported a net loss of INR 730 million on revenues of INR 8.16 billion. Wednesday, its shares ended at INR 579.35, down 4% from Tuesday, on the National Stock Exchange.  End
