Crompton Greaves gets INR 649.9 million order from Maharashtra power distributor

MUMBAI – Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has received an order worth INR 649.9 million from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. to supply 3,000 solar photovoltaic water pumping system, according to an exchange filing. Crompton Greaves will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test, and commission off-grid direct current solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, with the complete system warranty and its repair and maintenance for five years across Maharashtra.
The order is to be completed within 60 days from the issue of notice to proceed, per the filing. Wednesday, shares of Crompton Greaves closed at INR 258.90 on the National Stock Exchange, down 3.6% from Tuesday. For the March quarter, the company had reported a net loss of INR 5.37 billion on revenues of INR 20.83 billion. End
