--Info Edge to invest up to INR 1.80 bln in AIF B8 Fund I
MUMBAI – Info Edge Ltd. has signed a contribution agreement to invest up to INR 1.80 billion in B8 Fund I, an alternative investment fund by B8 Trust. This is in addition to the INR 2.50 billion already committed by the company towards the fund in February, according to an exchange filing Monday.
Info Edge has also entered a share purchase agreement for over 45% stake in its own subsidiary Sunrise Mentors Pvt. Ltd. for INR 399.10 million. Sunrise Mentors is the founder of CodingNinjas and will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Info Edge post the acquisition.
For the March quarter, Info Edge reported net profit of INR 3.09 billion on revenue of INR 8.05 billion. On Monday, its shares closed at INR 1,025 on the National Stock Exchange, down nearly 1% from Friday. End
