Trent Q1 revenue up 19% on year at INR 56.66 bln; net adds 1 Westside store

MUMBAI – Trent Ltd. said Monday that its standalone revenue rose 19% year-on-year to INR 56.66 billion for the June quarter. Its revenue from the sale of merchandise, excluding other operating income, also rose by 19% on year during the quarter, the company said in an exchange filing. This was similar to the revenue growth of around 20% recorded a year ago and a quarter ago.
The company net added one Westside store and 19 Zudio stores during the quarter. As of Tuesday, Trent had 1,312 stores, including 301 Westside stores, 982 Zudio stores, and 29 stores across other lifestyle concepts.
Trent had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.55 billion in the March quarter on revenues of INR 49.37 billion. Monday, the company's shares closed 0.1% higher at INR 3,343.80 on the National Stock Exchange. End
