Indian Bank keeps MCLR unchanged across tenures; revises T-bill linked rates

NEW DELHI – Indian Bank has kept its marginal cost of funds-based lending rates unchanged across tenures, the lender said in an exchange filing Thursday. The state-owned bank's MCLR ranges from 7.90% to 8.85% for tenors from overnight to one year.
The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review the MCLR monthly. The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee last month left the repo rate unchanged at 5.25%.
Indian Bank, however, revised its Treasury bill-linked lending rates. The state-owned bank cut its T-bill-linked lending rate for the three-month tenure by 5 basis points to 5.30%. However, it has hiked its T-bill-linked lending rate on tenures from six months to three years to 5.85% from 5.75%. The T-bill-linked lending rate for the three-month to six-month tenure has been kept unchanged at 5.55%. The revised Treasury bill-linked lending rate is effective from Friday.
Indian Bank reported a net profit of INR 31.03 billion for the March quarter on total income of INR 199.80 billion. Thursday, the bank's shares ended at INR 815.10 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.7% from the previous close.
