Titagarh Rail ties up with TuTr Hyperloop for freight mobility solutions

NEW DELHI – Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. Thursday said it has signed an agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras-incubated startup TuTr Hyperloop Pvt. Ltd. to jointly develop indigenous hyperloop-enabled freight transportation solutions.
"Together, the two companies will evaluate, design, develop, integrate, and explore the commercialisation of high-speed, energy-efficient freight transportation systems aligned with future logistics and infrastructure needs," the company said in an exchange filing. The collaboration will assess the application of hyperloop technology for cargo and freight transportation in domestic as well as international markets, the company said in the filing.
For the March quarter, Titagarh Rail Systems had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 539.6 million on revenues of INR 8.75 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 883.60 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.8%. End
