--Aster DM Quality Care starts ops after Aster DM Health, Quality Care merger
NEW DELHI – Aster DM Healthcare Ltd. Thursday said it has commenced operations after the completion of its merger with Quality Care India Ltd., creating a healthcare network of 39 hospitals across 28 cities with over 10,600 beds.
The combined entity, which will operate as Aster DM Quality Care Ltd. after the receipt of the certificate of incorporation, brings together Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare, and KIMSHEALTH brands. Dr Azad Moopen will continue as executive chairman, while Varun Khanna has been appointed managing director and group chief executive officer, as mentioned in the company's exchange filing.
The company said the combined platform would focus on expanding specialist healthcare services beyond metropolitan areas, particularly across South and Central India, by investing in advanced medical technologies and strengthening centres of excellence in tier-II and tier-III cities.
For the quarter ended March, Aster DM reported consolidated net profit of INR 1.40 billion on revenues of INR 11.82 billion. At IST 1411, shares of the company traded 2.4% higher at INR 794.45 on the National Stock Exchange. End
