--Texmaco Rail gets orders worth INR 3.51 bln to supply rakes, wagons 

MUMBAI – Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd. late Wednesday said it received two orders aggregating to INR 3.51 billion for the manufacture and supply of rakes and wagons. The first order, worth INR 2.53 billion, is from JSW (South) Rail Logistics Pvt. Ltd. for the supply of BFNSM1 rakes and BVCM wagons within 13.5 months from the date of commencement of works, Texmaco Rail said in an exchange filing.

BFNSM1 rakes are specialised wagons designed to transport heavy, concentrated loads such as steel coils and sheets. BVCM wagons are brake vans with cast steel bogies with snubber springs attached to goods trains to facilitate emergency braking and ensure the safety and stability of the rolling stock.

The second order worth INR 978.8 million is from Sushila Transport Pvt. Ltd. for the supply of Auto Car Taller 1 rakes with BVCM wagons. The order has to be completed on or before Oct. 31, 2027, Texmaco Rail said. Auto Car Taller 1 rakes are specialised double-decker rakes meant to transport automobiles.

For the March quarter, Texmaco Rail had reported a net profit of INR 587.2 million on revenues of INR 11.6 billion. At 1024 IST, its shares were at INR 113.71 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.6% from Wednesday.  End
