Cargo volume handled by Adani Ports up 13% Jun, led by containers, liquids

--Adani Ports handled 46.8 mln tonnes total cargo in June, up 13% on year 
--Adani Ports June logistics rail volume 48,650 twenty foot equivalent units 
--Adani Ports handled 138.1 mln tn cargo volume in Apr-Jun, up 15% on year 
 

MUMBAI – Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. Thursday said its cargo volumes in June rose 13% on year to 46.8 million tonnes. The growth was led by the containers and liquid segments, which rose 18% and 11% on a year-on-year basis, respectively. As for the June quarter, the company handled 138.1 million tonnes of cargo, registering growth of 15% on year.

 

The company's logistics rail volume for June fell 22% on year to 48,650 twenty-foot equivalent units. For the quarter, it fell 19% on year to 143,310 twenty-foot equivalent units.

 

At 1000 IST, shares of the company were a tad higher at INR 1,856.10 on the National Stock Exchange. For the March quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 33.29 billion on consolidated revenues of INR 107.38 billion.  End
