J&K Bank's advances up 25.5% on year as of Jun 30, deposits rise 16.8%

MUMBAI – Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd.'s growth in gross advances outpaced the growth in its total deposits as of Jun. 30, provisional figure released Wednesday showed. The bank's gross advances rose 25.5% on year to INR 1.31 trillion as of Jun. 30, while its total deposits were up 16.8% on year at INR 1.73 trillion, the lender said in an exchange filing. The current account savings account deposits ratio was at 42.08% as of Jun. 30, against 45.71% a year ago, as per the filing.
Total business rose 20.4% on year to INR 3.04 trillion as of Jun. 30. For the March quarter, the bank had reported a net profit of INR 7.98 billion and total income of INR 35.31 billion. On Wednesday, shares of the bank closed at INR 156.20 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.9%. End
