Sitharaman to meet officials, industry leaders on 4-day France visit

NEW DELHI – Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will participate in high-level economic engagements and interact with industry leaders during her four-day visit to France starting Wednesday. The visit will be aimed at further strengthening the India–France strategic partnership, enhancing economic cooperation and promoting investment, technology collaboration and innovation, a release from the ministry said.
During her visit, Sitharaman will co-chair the India–France Economic and Financial Dialogue with Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Energy Sovereignty of France Roland Lescure. "As part of the Economic and Financial Dialogue, both countries will discuss potential areas for greater bilateral cooperation in various sectors, and further enhance the economic relations between India and France," the release said.
She will also hold one-to-one meetings with select global Chief Executive Officers and also participate in a roundtable interaction with leading business executives to highlight India's robust macroeconomic fundamentals, reforms, investment opportunities and long-term growth prospects.
Sitharaman will meet Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Cte d'Azur region, to discuss greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including investment, innovation, clean energy, technology and regional economic partnerships, the release said. End
