Eicher Motors June motorcycle sales up 27% on year; exports decline 12%

NEW DELHI – Eicher Motors Ltd. sold 114,032 Royal Enfield motorcycles to dealers in June, up 27% from a year ago. Domestic sales grew 34% on year to 102,930 units in June, while exports declined 12% on year to 11,102 units, the company said in a release. This is the fifth consecutive month that the exports have declined year-on-year.

 

The company registered a 36% year-on-year increase in sales of motorcycles with engine capacity up to 350 cubic centimetres to 104,139 units. On the other hand, sales of models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc declined for the second straight month in June to 9,893 units, down 23% year-on-year. 

 

"June 2026 was a milestone month for us as we began customer deliveries of the Flying Flea C6 from Bengaluru. The response to the FF.C6 continues to be highly encouraging, and we will steadily roll out Flying Flea in other regions over the next few months," Eicher Motors Managing Director and Royal Enfield Chief Executive Officer B. Govindarajan said in the release.

 

Overall, the company sold 330,427 two-wheelers in the June quarter, clocking a 24% year-on-year growth. Domestic sales rose 32% on year to 301,174 units during the quarter, while exports fell 20% on year to 29,253 units in the three months.

 

For the March quarter, Eicher Motors had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 15.20 billion on revenues of INR 60.80 billion. Wednesday, the company's shares ended 0.9% higher at INR 7,139 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
