MUMBAI – APL Apollo Tubes Ltd.'s sales volume for the June quarter fell over 6% on year to 744,823 tonnes, it informed exchanges Wednesday. Sequentially, the decline was sharper at over 19%. This was mainly because of a fall in sales in the company's UAE operations and a drop in sales from 'APL Apollo Brand.'
APL Apollo's sales in the UAE fell over 46% on year to 25,929 tonnes in the June quarter, while sales under the 'SG Premium' brand rose almost four times to 58,686 tonnes. Sales from 'APL Apollo Brand' fell over 11% on year to 568,691 tonnes. Its roofing products sales were mostly flat at 91,516 tonnes for the quarter. "From this quarter onwards, the Company has adopted a revised product segmentation framework to enhance the clarity and relevance of business reporting," it said.
For the March quarter, APL Apollo Tubes had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 3.54 billion and revenue of INR 62.69 billion. At 1402 IST, its shares traded 1.2% lower at INR 1,766.40 on the National Stock Exchange. End
