Maruti Suzuki's car despatches rise 19% YoY to 200,390 units in June

MUMBAI – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Wednesday said it sold 200,390 automobile units to dealerships in the country and abroad in June, up 19% on year but down over 17% from the previous month. This includes domestic sales of 157,622 units, up over 21% on year, and exports of 42,768 units, up 13%. However, sales in the country dropped 21.5% on month in June, while exports rose 2%.
Maruti Suzuki sold 147,187 passenger vehicles in June, up around 24% on year. This includes sales of 11,416 mini cars in June, compared to 6,414 units sold a year ago. Models sold by the company in this segment include the Alto and S-Presso. Despatches of its compact and mid-size cars grew nearly 16% on year to 63,815 units in June. This was around 22% lower than the previous month's sales. Models in this segment include Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR. Combined, the company sold 75,231 passenger cars in June, up 22% on year.
Maruti Suzuki also sold 10,230 Eeco vans to dealerships in India last month, up from 9,340 units a year ago. The company sold 61,726 units of utility vehicles last month, up around 29% on year. The Gurugram-based automaker sold 2,963 light commercial vehicles in June, up around 22% on year but down 7% on month. Maruti Suzuki sold 7,472 passenger vehicles to other carmakers in June, down 15% on year but up 3% on month.
APR-JUN
Maruti Suzuki sold 682,724 cars in the first quarter of 2026-27 (Apr-Mar), up over 29% on year. Domestic sales by the company grew around 30% on year to 557,988 units, while exports rose nearly 29% to 124,736 units. Despatches of its utility vehicles in Apr-Jun have grown 35% on year to 218,885 units.
For the March quarter, Maruti Suzuki's net profit was INR 35.91 billion on revenues of INR 524.49 billion. At 1250 IST, shares of the company traded 1.4% higher at INR 14,310 on the National Stock Exchange. End
