Bajaj Auto says arm resumed ops after cyberattack, probe still on

MUMBAI – Bajaj Auto Ltd. said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bajaj Auto Technology Ltd., has resumed operations following the cybersecurity attack Tuesday involving ransomware. The arm has normalised manufacturing operations, sales and service activities, dealer support functions, and other key business functions, Bajaj Auto said in an exchange filing Friday. However, the Pulsar maker said the investigation regarding the incident is still going on.
For the quarter ended March, Bajaj Auto had reported a net profit of INR 27.46 billion on revenues of INR 160.06 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 9,843 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 1% from Wednesday. The domestic equity market was shut Friday for Muharram. End
