MUMBAI – Info Edge (India) Ltd. Friday said its board has appointed Himanshu Agarwal as whole-time director and chief financial officer from Sept. 17. The appointment "as the whole-time director of the company" shall be for a term of five years, subject to approval by shareholders and other applicable statutory approvals, it said in an exchange filing.
Agarwal is currently whole-time director and chief financial officer at Cohance Lifesciences Ltd. He will be relieved from his duties at Cohance Lifesciences at the close of business hours on Sept. 13.
Previously, Agarwal has held senior finance leadership positions at ICI India Ltd. and Akzo Nobel India Ltd. (now JSW Dulux Ltd.), AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd., Huhtamaki Oyj, and Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd.
For the March quarter, Info Edge had reported a net profit of INR 3.09 billion on revenue of INR 8.05 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 978.85 on the National Stock Exchange, down over 3% from Wednesday. The domestic equity market was shut Friday for Muharram. End
