--US FDA issues 2 observations on Aurobindo Pharma arm's Andhra Pradesh unit
MUMBAI – Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. Saturday said the US Food and Drug Administration has concluded an inspection at its step-down subsidiary Auroactive Pharma Pvt. Ltd. and issued two observations. The inspection of the subsidiary's manufacturing unit in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh took place from Monday to Friday, the company told the exchanges in a filing.
Aurobindo Pharma said it is committed to maintaining the highest quality manufacturing standards. It further said that there was no impact on its finances or operations from the US drug regulator's action.
For the March quarter, on a consolidated basis, Aurobindo Pharma had reported a net profit of INR 9.21 billion on revenues of INR 88.53 billion. Thursday, its shares ended at INR 1,555.20 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.6% from Wednesday. The stock market was shut Friday for Muharram. End
