NEW DELHI – Tata Communications Ltd. Thursday said a majority of customer data affected by the Jun. 5 fire incident at its leased data centre premises in New Delhi has been successfully recovered, with only a limited number of cases requiring further validation and rebuilding. The company said it has been working closely with affected customers on recovery after activating its business continuity protocols immediately following the fire at the Next-Gen Tower facility in Greater Kailash-1, New Delhi, as per the exchange filing. 

"Some customers with resilient multi-location architectures experienced no disruption, whereas some customers faced temporary operational disruption due to the time required to recover critical systems; however, overall business impact has not been material, and the Company's operations continue unaffected," the company said in its exchange filing. The company also said it has adequate insurance coverage to address any potential financial impact or liabilities arising from the incident.

Tata Communications had reported consolidated net profit of INR 2.63 billion for the March quarter on revenues of INR 65.54 billion. On Thursday, the company's shares closed 1.8% lower at INR 1,991.90 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
