MUMBAI – Jindal Saw Ltd. said the American Petroleum Institute has reinstated its authorisation to affix the institute's monogram on its seamless pipes. This comes after the company was able to demonstrate to the institute's satisfaction all the measures addressing the earlier lack of conformity with the institute's norms, as per an exchange filing by Jindal Saw.
The institute had observed the lack of conformity by the company and suspended its licence to use the institute's monograms, as per the company's exchange filing in February. The reinstatement of the licence will allow the company to resume the manufacture and supply of certified seamless pipes to global oil and gas majors, participate in tenders, and safeguard its core revenue stream.
Thursday, shares of Jindal Saw closed at INR 260.72 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1% from Wednesday. For the March quarter, the company had reported a net profit of INR 1.14 billion on revenues of INR 38.18 billion. End
