Amazon plans to expand quick-delivery business to 300 cities of India

MUMBAI – Amazon plans to expand its quick-delivery business, Amazon Now, to 300 cities in India, according to a notification on its website on Wednesday. For this expansion, the company will allocate part of the $300 million investment announced earlier by Amazon India.
With this expansion, Amazon plans to build India's largest 'delivery in minutes' network, which will offer daily-use products, it said. Currently, Amazon Now is available in 15 metro and non-metro cities.
"Amazon will scale up its specialised fulfilment infrastructure to offer the largest selection of products to customers across the country – when they need them – tens of thousands of products delivered in minutes or a few hours, a wider selection of over one million within the same day, over four million the next day and millions more with unlimited, free & fast Prime Delivery," the company said.
