Axis Bank prices AT1, senior notes aggregating $800 million

MUMBAI – Axis Bank Tuesday said it has completed the pricing of $800 million worth of notes under its global medium-term notes programme. The issuance includes $500 million of additional tier 1 notes and $300 million of senior unsecured fixed rate notes, the bank said in an exchange filing.

 

The $500 million additional tier 1 notes carry a coupon of 6.875% per annum, payable semi-annually, the bank said. The issue date for the additional tier 1 notes is Jun. 30. The coupon on the $300 million senior unsecured fixed-rate notes is 5.348% per annum, payable semi-annually. The issue date for senior unsecured fixed-rate notes is Jun. 30, and the maturity date is Jun. 30, 2031, it said. 

 

Both the bonds will be listed on the Global Securities Market of the India International Exchange Ltd. and the Debt Securities Market of the NSE IFSC Ltd. 

 

Axis Bank posted a net profit of INR 70.71 billion in the March quarter on total income of INR 387.47 billion. At 0929 IST, its shares were INR 1,365.80 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.2% from the previous close.  End
