MUMBAI – Vodafone Idea Ltd. said it has raised INR 11.83 billion from Aditya Birla Group entity Suryaja Investments Pte. Ltd. by issuing 4.3 billion convertible warrants. The warrants, priced at INR 11 apiece, were issued to Suryaja Investments, part of Vodafone Idea's promoter group, against receipt of 25% of the issue price.
Suryaja Investments can exercise the option to convert the warrants into equity shares before the expiry of 18 months from the date of allotment of the warrants by paying the rest of the issue price. Each warrant issued to Suryaja Investments is convertible to one fully paid up equity share of Vodafone Idea.
Monday, shares of the telecommunications company closed at INR 14.82 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.7% from Friday. For the March quarter, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 519.70 billion on revenues of INR 113.32 billion. End
