--UCO Bank: Govt appointed Rajendra Kumar Saboo as MD, CEO from Jun 1 

 

NEW DELHI – The government has assigned the additional charge of UCO Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to Rajendra Kumar Saboo till Aug. 31 or until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post. Saboo, currently an executive director at UCO Bank, has been given the addtional charge of MD and CEO of the bank after the retirement of Ashwani Kumar on May 31, the lender informed exchanges Friday.

 

Saboo has been an executive director of UCO Bank since November 2022. Before joining UCO Bank, Saboo was the chief general manager in Punjab National Bank heading strategic management, economic advisory, and data analytics. Saboo is a Post Graduate in Commerce and holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (Banking and Finance).

 

For the March quarter, UCO Bank had reported net profit of INR 8.01 billion and total income of INR 73.65 billion. Shares of UCO Bank Friday ended 1.5% lower at INR 27.58 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.  End
