Lloyds Engg Works, 2 others to buy 88% stake in Steel Infra for INR 10.7 bln

NEW DELHI – Lloyds Engineering Works Ltd. Thursday said it, along with Lloyds Enterprises Ltd. and Streamland Estate LLP, will buy 88.12% stake in Steel Infra Solutions Co. Ltd. for INR 10.73 billion. The three companies will together buy up to 35.78 million equity shares of Steel Infra Solutions, in an acquisition funded through a combination of cash and equity, Lloyds Engineering Works said in an exchange filing.
Lloyds Engineering Works will buy up to 21.18 million shares, or 52.16% stake, in Steel Infra Solutions for INR 6.35 billion. Lloyds Enterprises and Streamland Estate will acquire up to 7.3 million shares each, accounting for 17.98% stake in Steel Infra Solutions for INR 2.19 billion each.
After the transaction, Lloyds Engineering Works will help Steel Infra Solutions double its capacity to 200,000 tonnes per annum from 100,000 tonnes per annum, positioning Steel Infra Solutions as the largest structural steel fabrication company in India, Lloyds Engineering Works said.
Incorporated in 2017, Steel Infra Solutions is engaged in the design, engineering, fabrication, supply, and erection of structural steel solutions. The company has executed 187 structural steel projects, including the Delhi Airport Terminal 1, the Noida International Airport at Jewar, the Dwarka Convention Centre, the International Hockey Stadium at Rourkela and the International Tech Park, Bengaluru.
For 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), Steel Infra Solutions reported a net profit of INR 440 million on an operating revenue of INR 8.17 billion. The company's order book was INR 11.34 billion in FY26.
Lloyds Engineering Works reported a consolidated net profit of INR 468 million for the March quarter, on revenues of INR 4.95 billion. Thursday, shares of the engineering company closed 3.3% lower at INR 84.76 on the National Stock Exchange. Shares of Lloyds Enterprises ended at INR 76.88, up 1.7% from Wednesday. End
