AHMEDABAD - FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. aims to see its beauty and lifestyle business achieve gross merchandise value of over $5 billion by 2029-30 (Apr-Mar), the company said in a press release on Thursday.
"Over the last six years, the company's gross merchandise value has grown more than 7X (seven times), with beauty scaling 6X, Fashion 27X and House of Nykaa 10X," the company said. "Looking ahead to FY30, Nykaa sees a significant runway for growth and aims to deliver 2-3X revenue growth, translating in to 4.5X earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation growth (low to mid-teens EBITDA margin."
For FY26, the gross merchandise value of Nykaa's beauty business stood at INR 150 billion, of fashion business at INR 49.54 billion, and House of Nykaa Beauty had a GMV of INR 27.88 billion. All these businesses have grown multifold in the past six years, and have business distribution reaching from 150,000 gates to over 45 million consumer base depending on the category, the release shows. The company now seeks to grow its beauty business to have a retail footprint of over 600 stores by FY30, to reach 100 million beauty consumers. Currently, Nykaa's beauty business spreads across 313 stores in 99 cities.
For the fashion business, the company aims to grow gross merchandise value by 3- to 3.5-times as it sees a potential of high single-digit earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation margins and over 10% steady-state profitability.
Talking of Superstore, which partners with over 200 brands across beauty, personal care and wellness categories, has a retailer network of 494,000 retailers and a gross merchandise value of INR 11.87 billion, Nykaa said it now aims for GMV of INR 35 billion by FY30, and reach over a million retailers by then.
Commenting on Nykaa's vision, Falguni Nayar, executive chairperson, founder and chief executive officer, Nykaa, said with the Indian economy expected to grow to $8 trillion-$10 trillion by FY36, the spend across beauty, fashion and lifestyle is expected to rise proportionately. This expanding opportunity positions Nykaa to serve 200 million consumers by then. It also sees wellness as the next "major opportunity". "As consumers increasingly embrace a more holistic approach to self-care, the convergence of beauty, wellness, and longevity is creating a large and attractive growth opportunity," Nayar said in the release.
The company's consolidated net profit for the March quarter grew nearly fourfold on year to INR 783.80 million, as against INR 202.80 million in the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue from operations grew over 28% on year to INR 26.48 billion. At 1112 IST, shares of the company traded 6.3% higher at INR 298.70 per share on the National Stock Exchange. End
