MUMBAI – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.'s wholly-owned arm Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC Wednesday said it expects its earnings before interest and tax margin for 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) to be around 4%, compared to 0.7% in FY26 and 8.5% in FY25. The company expects its revenue to grow 13% on year to 26 billion pounds sterling, it said in a presentation to investors.

Having reported a year-on-year fall in its wholesale sales, revenue, EBITDA margin, EBIT margin, profit before tax, and free cash flow position for FY26, the company acknowledged that it was a challenging year. JLR has guided to invest 3.7 billion pounds sterling in FY27, compared to 3.6 billion pounds sterling in FY26.

The company reported a negative operating cash flow of 2.23 billion pounds sterling in FY26, compared to a positive 1.48 billion pounds sterling in FY25. In FY27, the company expects to break even at the operating cash flow level.

JLR expects to reach a cash breakeven position towards 300,000 units in two years through enterprise missions, which it hopes will accelerate savings, it said. The company has forecast its cash breakeven to be at 350,000 units in FY27, down from 425,000 in FY26.

For the March quarter, Tata Motors PV's consolidated net profit was INR 57.83 billion on revenues of INR 1.05 trillion. At 1414 IST, its shares traded nearly 8% lower at INR 363 on the National Stock Exchange. Analysts had expected the company to guide for a higher EBIT margin and faster year-on-year growth in revenue.  End
