Bandhan Bank approves proposal to sell identified NPAs worth INR 3.04 bln

MUMBAI – The board of Bandhan Bank Ltd. Monday approved a proposal for the sale of identified non-performing assets overdue for more than 180 days. The non-performing assets pertain to the bank's housing finance portfolio, with a principal outstanding amounting to INR 3.04 billion as of May 31.

 

The non-performing assets will be sold through a bidding process involving asset reconstruction companies, the bank said in an exchange filing. Bidding for the non-performing assets will be as per the Swiss challenge method, it said. 

 

For the March quarter, Bandhan Bank had reported a net profit of INR 5.34 billion and a total income of INR 61.99 billion. Monday, its shares ended at INR 210.88 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 3.07% from Friday.  End
