Maruti Suzuki's flex-fuel-powered WagonR price starts at INR 723,900

MUMBAI – The flex-fuel-powered variant of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.'s WagonR Bioflex has been priced starting INR 723,900 ex-showroom, according to the company's website. The WagonR Bioflex is based on the WagonR ZXi+ petrol-manual variant, which is priced INR 86,000 lower.

 

The price of the petrol-run base variant of the hatchback is INR 498,900 while the price of the compressed natural gas-fuelled variant starts at INR 593,900. Maruti Suzuki had launched this car earlier in June. The car is equipped to run on any petrol-ethanol blend ranging from E20 to E85. The Centre has announced that the E85 fuel blend will be priced INR 20 lower per litre than the regular E20 fuel blend.

 

Maruti Suzuki has not specified the fuel efficiency for the WagonR Bioflex. However, the WagonR ZXi+ provides a range of 23.65 kilometres per litre of petrol. 

 

For the March quarter, Maruti Suzuki had reported a net profit of INR 35.91 billion on revenue of INR 524.49 billion. Monday, its shares closed at INR 13,805 on the National Stock Exchange, up 3.3% from Friday.  End
