--SBI board to meet Thu to mull raising funds in FY27 via debt 

 

MUMBAI – The State Bank of India's board is scheduled to meet Thursday to seek approval for raising funds during 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) through public offer or private placement mode by debt instruments, the country's largest lender informed exchanges Monday. The issuances of these debt instruments can be overseas or domestic in rupees or any foreign currency, according to the filing.  

 

SBI reported a net profit of INR 196.84 billion and total income of INR 1.40 trillion for the March quarter. On Monday, its shares ended nearly 0.4% higher at INR 1,020.85 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.  End
