--Exchanges give 'no objection' to merge ACC with Ambuja Cements 

 

MUMBAI – Both the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. and BSE Ltd. have given their 'no objection' certificate for the merger of ACC Ltd. with Ambuja Cements Ltd., the latter informed exchanges. However, the amalgamation is yet to receive other regulatory approvals, the filing said.   

 

In December, the Ambuja Cements' board had given approval to amalgamate ACC with itself. The amalgamation would not have any cash consideration but Ambuja Cements will issue and allot shareholders of ACC Ltd. 328 equity shares of INR 2 face value for every 100 equity shares of face value INR 10 held.

 

For the March quarter, Ambuja Cements reported a consolidated net profit of INR 18.30 billion on revenues of INR 108.92 billion. ACC reported a net profit of INR 2.49 billion on revenues of INR 70.54 billion for the same period. On Thursday, shares of Ambuja Cements ended marginally lower at INR 426.35 on the National Stock Exchange, whereas those of ACC ended flat at INR 1,350.80.  End
