SoftBank Group fund sells Lenskart stake worth INR 29 bln via block deal

MUMBAI – SoftBank Group's fund sold a stake worth INR 28.73 billion of Lenskart Solutions Ltd. at INR 508.55 per share through a block deal on the National Stock Exchange. This translated to more than 3% of SoftBank's stake in the Indian company while it held over 13% stake at the end of the March quarter.

 

Societe Generale bought the biggest chunk of the shares offered by SoftBank as the former bought 0.8% stake in Lenkart. Other buyers included BNP Paribas, Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, Copthall Mauritius Investment, Fidelity Funds, Kotak funds, ICICI Prudential Mutual Funds, among others.

 

For the March quarter, Lenskart reported consolidated net profit of INR 2 billion on revenues of INR 25.16 billion. Wednesday, shares of the company closed at INR 516.15 per share on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.5% from Tuesday.  End
