Aurobindo Pharma inaugrates biologics mfg facility in Telangana

MUMBAI – Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. Wednesday inaugrated biologics contract manufacturing facility TheraNym in Borapatla, Telangana. MSD, an American pharmaceutial company, is the anchor customer for the facility, Aurobindo Pharma said in an exchange filing. The facility will supply products for MSD's domestic and export markets.
"TheraNym represents a defining moment in large-scale biologics manufacturing in India and a proud milestone for Aurobindo Pharma," the company said in the filing. "Designed and built to the highest international standards, the facility is positioned to serve the supply chains of leading global pharmaceutical companies."
For the quarter ended March, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 9.21 billion on revenue of INR 88.53 billion. On Wednesday, shares of the company ended at INR 1,440.40 on the National Stock Exchange, down nearly 1% from Tuesday. End
