--Alkem Lab launches single-shot Semaglutide pre-filled syringes from INR 350
NEW DELHI – Alkem Laboratories Ltd. Tuesday said it has launched single-shot pre-filled semaglutide syringes in multiple dose strengths with a starting price of INR 350. This ready-to-use syringes is expected to improve convenience and lower entry barriers to treatment.
The company has received approval from the Drugs Controller General of India to manufacture and market semaglutide pre-filled syringes which are used to manage type-II diabetes mellitus and obesity, as mentioned in an exchange filing.
In March, the company had launched semaglutide in pre-filled disposable and reusable injection pens in India. It has also received regulatory approval for semaglutide vials, which it plans to launch soon.
For the March quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 2.36 billion on revenues of INR 36.03 billion. Tuesday, shares of the company closed at INR 5,239 on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.4% from Monday. End
