Fire at supplier's unit to cause temporary output disruption - Hyundai Motor

MUMBAI – Hyundai Motor India Ltd. Monday said a fire incident occurred at one of the manufacturing facilities of its automotive component supplier Mobis India Ltd. in Tamil Nadu's Irrungattukottai on Sunday afternoon. The company said this incident will cause a temporary disruption to its production plans. No fatality has been reported so far.
"...alternative sourcing and supply continuity measures are being actively explored to minimize the operational impact," the company said. There is sufficient vehicle inventory in its dealer network to meet the customer demand, it added.
For the March quarter, it had reported consolidated net profit of INR 12.56 billion on revenues of INR 189.16 billion. At 1122 IST, its shares traded with a slight positive bias at INR 1,925.70 on the National Stock Exchange. End
