MUMBAI – Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.'s consolidated net profit marginally missed the Street's expectations for the March quarter. This was despite a rise in expenses outpacing the revenue growth significantly.

 

The company's consolidated net profit was INR 914.94 million, below the expectations of INR 924.56 million. The net profit grew 8% on year and 46% on quarter. The company's consolidated revenue for the quarter was INR 4.16 billion, up 10% on year. The revenue narrowly missed analysts' expectations of INR 4.17 billion. Sequentially, the revenue grew around 3%.

 

Lemon Tree's overall expenses, without the finance cost, were up over 15% on year at INR 2.01 billion. Its other expenses saw the sharpest jump, rising 23% on year to INR 1.16 billion. This includes costs incurred by the company for power and fuel. Its finance cost declined nearly 17% on year to INR 420.69 million, while the tax outgo jumped over 78% on year to INR 251.41 million.

 

For the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the company's revenue rose 12% to INR 14.45 billion. Its net profit was up 15.5% to INR 2.27 billion. At 0927 IST, shares of the company were at INR 117.74 on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.5% from Wednesday. The stock market was shut Thursday for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakri Id).  End
