MUMBAI – Bharat Dynamics Ltd. reported a sharp fall in both its top line and bottom line, and failed to meet the Street's expectations. The company's net profit and revenue fell in high double digits and were down for the second consecutive quarter.

 

Bharat Dynamics' net profit for the March quarter fell nearly 59% on year to INR 1.13 billion. Analysts had expected the company's bottom line to increase 32% on year to INR 3.60 billion from INR 2.73 billion in the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue from operations fell nearly 73% on year to INR 4.80 billion from 17.77 billion a year ago. Analysts had seen the company's revenue for the March quarter at around INR 20 billion.

 

The company's total income for the March quarter fell over 68% on year to nearly INR 6 billion. The fall in the company's total expenses outpaced the fall in its total income. For the March quarter, the company's total expenses fell over 70% on year to INR 4.46 billion.

 

For the financial year 2025–26 (Apr-Mar), the company's net profit fell nearly 24% on year to INR 4.20 billion from INR 5.50 billion. The company's revenue for FY26 fell over 27% on year to INR 24.41 billion. For FY26, the company announced a final dividend of INR 0.40 per share. 

 

Wednesday, shares of the company ended nearly 3.6% lower at INR 1,282.20 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
