--JK Tyre to add truck, bus, car radial tyres capacity for INR 50 bln by FY30
MUMBAI – JK Tyre and Industries Ltd. will increase its truck and bus radial tyres and passenger car radial tyres capacity by 24% by 2029-30 (Apr-Mar). It will invest INR 49.80 billion for the expansion in phases and this will be funded by internal accruals and debt, the company said Tuesday in a filing with bourses.
The company has planned these expansions as the domestic tyre industry is seeing robust demand across categories. JK Tyre currently has the capacity of 21 million tyres per annum, including those under implementation.
JK Tyre and Industries reported consolidated net profit of INR 1.78 billion for the March quarter on revenue of INR 42.23 billion. Tuesday, shares of the company closed at INR 394.15 on the National Stock Exchange, up 2%. End
