AP Asia Opportunistic sells over 3% stake in JSW Cement via block deal

MUMBAI – AP Asia Opportunistic Holdings has sold almost all of its stake in JSW Cement Ltd. in a block deal on the National Stock Exchange on Friday. AP Asia sold 42.82 million shares, accounting for a 3.1% stake in JSW Cement, out of the 46.41 million shares it held at the end of the March quarter. The deal happened at INR 124 per share, data from the NSE showed.
Several mutual funds bought a stake in JSW Cement, data showed. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund bought nearly 1% stake in JSW Cement at INR 124 per share. Other mutual funds that bought a stake in JSW Cement included SBI Mutual Fund, Whiteoak Capital Mutual Fund, and Edelweiss Mutual Fund
For the March quarter, JSW Cement reported a consolidated net profit of INR 3.71 billion on revenues of INR 18.95 billion. Friday, JSW Cement's shares closed at INR 137.99 on NSE, up 8.3% from Thursday. End
