NEW DELHI –  Mankind Pharma Ltd. expects on-year revenue growth to stay in double digits in the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar), supported by a recovery in its acute portfolio, sustained momentum in chronic therapies, and an increasing contribution from speciality products, the company's management said on Tuesday. For FY26, the company reported a revenue growth of 17% to INR 142.78 billion.

"We are on the path of recovery," Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Rajiv Juneja said during the company's post-earnings conference call, adding that corrective actions undertaken over the past year have begun to reflect in improved performance. The company also guided earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation margin of 25.5-26.5% for FY27, higher than 25.4% reported in FY26, boosted by better product mix and operating leverage.

The drugmaker's consolidated net profit for the March quarter rose nearly 32% on year to INR 5.54 billion, and revenue increased nearly 12% on year to INR 34.43 billion.

Management said it remains optimistic about long-term opportunities in international markets and expects revenue from global operations to grow in double digits in FY27 despite geopolitical challenges in some regions. In FY26, the company reported muted growth in its international business due to geopolitical challenges.

Mankind Pharma also said it was not planning any major new product launch in FY27 and would instead focus on extension of existing brands in the over-the-counter business. "In OTC (over-the-counter) side, it's always the brand value; the strength of a brand in terms of revenue is more important. Whatever new launches will happen, these launches will be an extension of the present brands only," the management said. Over-the-counter is a part of the consumer healthcare division, wherein popular, everyday health, hygiene, and wellness products can be bought from pharmacies without a doctor's prescription.

For FY26, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 19.13 billion, down nearly 4%. The management said the decline in the net profit was due to higher finance and depreciation cost related to the Bharat Serums and Vaccines acquisition, along with lower other income.

Mankind Pharma said it will sharpen its focus on speciality chronic therapies and research and development-led innovation products as part of its long-term growth strategy. The company said research and development spending in FY26 accounted for 2.8% of sales, compared with 2.2% in FY25. Mankind Pharma is also setting up a new biotech facility in Vadodara and expects capital expenditure in FY27 to rise to 6-7% of revenue from 5.2% in FY26. The company also said it launched its glucagon-like peptide-1 pen in April, but will take a calibrated approach in the segment amid intense competition.

At IST 1410, shares of the company traded at INR 2,570.40 on the National Stock Exchange, up over 3%. End
