MUMBAI – PI Industries Ltd. reported the worst fall since 2019 in its bottom line for the March quarter with its top line declining for the fourth consecutive quarter. The company's net profit for the reporting quarter missed analysts' expectations by over 28%. The revenue missed the consensus estimate by almost 5%.

 

PI Industries reported a net profit of INR 2 billion for the March quarter, down over 39% on year. Analysts had expected the company to post a net profit of INR 2.79 billion. The company's revenue from operations for the quarter declined more than 12% on year to INR 15.65 billion. Analysts had expected the company to report revenues of INR 16.41 billion.

 

The company's total expenditure during the quarter fell over 6% on year to INR 13.39 billion, mainly because of a 13?ll in the cost of raw materials. The cost of materials consumed fell over 13% on year to INR 6.69 billion. This accounted for around 50% of the company's total expenses. Its other expenses rose 4% to INR 3.33 billion. The company spent INR 2.27 billion on its employees. 

 

The revenue of PI Industries from the agro chemicals segment fell over 14% on year to INR 14.61 billion while the revenue from its pharmaceuticals segment rose over 23% to INR 1.05 billion.

 

For the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 13.21 billion, down 20% from FY25. Its revenue fell nearly 16% to INR 67.14 billion.

 

PI Industries said Joint Managing Director Rajnish Sarna has resigned. The company will pay a final dividend of INR 10 per share. The company declared its March quarter earnings after market hours Tuesday. Its shares closed at INR 3,124.60 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 1% from Monday.  End
